Afex for Veterans
Afex Urinary Management Systems for Veterans
Afex is available through VA channels when a Veteran’s VA healthcare team determines it is appropriate. Arcus Medical supplies patient-specific Afex orders directly to Veterans nationwide.
How to get started
- Schedule or manage a VA health care appointment.
- Ask your VA care team—such as Primary Care, Urology, or Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service (PSAS)—whether Afex is appropriate for you.
- Your VA team manages evaluation, prescription, and local ordering procedures. When a patient-specific VA order is placed, Arcus Medical supplies the Afex system directly to the Veteran.
Find the right VA team
- Primary Care and Urology: Find your local VA health facility and its contact information. Ask the facility how to reach your Primary Care team or Urology service.
- Prosthetics: Visit VA Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) for program information. Contact your local facility for its ordering process.
- Appointments: Schedule or manage VA health appointments. Available online services depend on your facility and appointment type.
The Afex range
Afex systems are available for active daytime routines, limited mobility, mobility-assisted needs, and nighttime use. Your VA care team determines the appropriate system and supplies.
Important information
A VA clinician determines whether Afex is appropriate. Coverage, product selection, quantities, and fulfillment are determined by the Veteran’s VA care team and local facility procedures.
